ASDF designs its platforms and formulations to operate within tightly managed temperature and power ranges—conditions that help minimize thermal degradation of e-liquids. Devices such as the Vapetape ENGAGE, CORE, and CERRO, paired with ASDF’s in-house e-liquids, undergo aerosol testing at ISO 17025–accredited laboratories. Under maximum device power, these tests have shown carbonyl levels below the laboratory limit of detection (LOD) for the tested setups.
ENGAGE: A 50W Open Pod System Built for Controlled High-Power Use
The Vapetape ENGAGE combines a 2600mAh battery, 5mL refillable pod, and dual mesh coil platform (0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω) with a chipset that regulates output from 5W–50W. By capping power intelligently and distributing heat through mesh geometry, ENGAGE maintains controlled operating temperatures even during high-wattage sessions.
Power Mode Profiles
- Eco Mode (5–20W): Designed for MTL use with 0.8Ω coils and flavors like Grape Slush.
- Boost Mode (21–35W): Balanced flavor and warmth using 0.6Ω coils with formulations such as UNPLUG 35mg.
- Turbo Mode (36–50W): Dense vapor performance with 0.4Ω coils; ASDF test data confirms temperatures remain within validated limits at peak output.
ASDF’s R&D program pairs each coil type with formulations that have been tested under device-specific power conditions, helping ensure consistent aerosol performance.
CORE & CERRO: Precision Power for Everyday Controlled Operation
The ASDF CORE uses a 1200mAh battery, adjustable airflow, and Core-X mesh coils (0.4Ω–0.8Ω) across Normal/Boost/Turbo modes (13–30W). The CERRO—a compact closed-pod device—operates between 7.8–10.2W.
Both platforms use broad-surface mesh structures that promote even heat distribution, reducing edge overheating and slowing the thermal breakdown of PG/VG carriers. ISO 17025 aerosol tests on these systems have shown carbonyls at below LOD under validated conditions.
Ostro & QUIID: TPD-Compliant Pods with Controlled Output
TPD-regulated pods such as Ostro (2mL, 20mg/mL, Chromium Ceramic Coil) and QUIID (2mL with flavors such as Pineberry) undergo third-party temperature and aerosol characterization.
Using high-PG formulations and fixed power curves, these systems have shown no detectable acrolein or formaldehyde in lab testing under their validated operating ranges.
UNPLUG & TEMPO: Non-TPD High-Strength Salt Systems with Power Governance
For global markets outside TPD limits, UNPLUG (12K puffs, 35mg/mL salts, 1000mAh) and TEMPO (mesh coil, interactive display) employ similar protective logic. Power spikes are prevented through firmware-regulated voltage ceilings, supporting consistent thermal behavior even with high-strength salt nicotine.
ASDF’s bottled e-liquids—including salt formulas up to 50mg where permitted—follow the same internal R&D and lab validation cycle, helping ensure consistent performance across compatible devices.
